August Workshop: “Taste of Yoga”

Sundays: 9:00-10:00am

Peachy Fitness offers “Taste of Yoga” in the month of August. We are offering a special summer workshop in Ann Arbor for you to try out different levels of Yoga classes.

Kayleigh Zupi will lead our August workshop, challenging students with a 5-week session focusing on all-important aspects of Yoga.

Each week will be a ‘stand alone’ class so come to one week to work on a particular aspect or come to all five.
First class is FREE for this workshop. We are offering a Special Summer Sale for the month of August.
First time student gets 4 classes for $20.00 (no makeup classes)

August-Workshop

August 3: Yoga Foundations

– An Ashtanga yoga class strongly recommended for everyone new or looking for a yoga refresher course. In this class you will learn the basics of Ashtanga yoga including sun salutations, and the primary series standing and seated postures. It’s an intro class with a kick. Bring a towel and prepare to cleanse.

August 10: Energizing Yoga

– It is a challenging class of consistent poses in flowing transition with a focus on core strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, and an overall sense of well-being. We will build upon basic yoga poses to target specific muscle groups while maintaining safe alignment to reduce the risk of injury. Students need to feel comfortable with Sun Salutations. This class builds strength and balance physically AND mentally, and leaves you feeling energized. Be ready to sweat!

August 17: Yoga for the Back

– Yoga relieves back pain by strengthening and stretching the muscles that support the spine and helps to prevent future injury. The yoga poses in this class are specifically chosen for people with back pain. We address your issues and show you ways to work with your pain differently and effectively.

August 24: Yoga for the Athletes

– is designed for athletes of all levels. Learn techniques and poses that will help facilitate your training and maximize your recovery. This class will focus on breathing techniques, developing core strength and stability and releasing tension in tight areas. You will learn to stay centered and focused through challenging poses by concentrating on smooth, even inhalations and exhalations, which prepares the athlete to stay mentally focused during challenging workouts, training runs, or races.

August 31: Yoga for Stress Release

– This class is specifically designed to address the symptoms of stress and anxiety which can range anywhere from an agitated restless mind to physical and emotional exhaustion. All yoga postures are fully supported with the use of blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to create a sense of ease, wellbeing and calmness. Each posture is selected for its ability to quiet the mind and rest the entire body giving you a deep rejuvenating experience. Restorative yoga can be practiced by everyone, regardless of age or experience.
